Appropriate investigations will be advised during consultation and can be carried out on the same day to arrive at a conclusion and professional opinion on your problem.

Well man health screening

Both malignant and benign prostate diseases get more and more common in men above the age of 50 years. Closely interlinked are also problems of male sexual function. If you do not have any specific symptom and wish to know about you prostate health or sexual health, this service provides you a comprehensive assessment, advice and management.

Laboratory investigations

We can provide all laboratory investigations with same day results on all aspects of prostate problems (except tissue test for cancer).

Outpatient endoscopic investigations

We are equipped to perform internal telescopic examination of your urinary passage, prostate and bladder under local anaesthesia with real time video demonstration and record.

Ultrasound scan

We can offer you on the spot abdominal ultrasound examination of your kidneys, bladder and prostate.

Prostate biopsy

We can offer on the spot ultrasound examination of your prostate and same day systematic prostate biopsy for determination of prostate cancer. (tissue test result will take several days)

All outpatient treatment of prostate diseases

We are equipped and stocked to dispense any medication therapy for the treatment of all prostate diseases. We can also provide external magnetic innervation treatment using the NeoControl® Magnetic Chair for the treatment of chronic abacterial prostatits.

PVP laser prostatectomy

PVP (Photoselective Vaporization of Prostate) utilizes a Green Light laser at high power to vaporize the unwanted prostate tissue with very minimal bleeding and very minimal post-operative pain. Patients undergoing PVP can go home the same day and expect to pass urine normally the following day. The very low risk of bleeding makes this method particularly suitable for any body taking medication to prevent clotting of blood (antiplatlets such as Aspirin, Ticlid® or Plavix®) and anticoagulants such as Warfarin.

Other non-laser prostate surgery

We are integrated into the Gleneagles Intan Medical Centre, an established secondary and tertiary acute private medical centre equipped to carry out complex and major procedure and surgery for related urological and non related diseases. Both our specialists are also resident consultants in Gleneagles Intan Medical Centre with full access to all the services and facilities of the medical centre including inpatient care.

Other urological services

We are able to co-ordinate referral and transfer of management and treatment to all other specialist care at Gleneagles Intan Medical Centre or recruit assistance from non urological specialists for other non urological problems.
